Giorgio Armani’s Swiss Timepieces

Now that the Fall 2014 menswear shows have set the clothing trends for the upcoming season, we could also use some luxurious accessories to spice up the runway looks—and Giorgio Armani’s newly launched fine watches line might just fit the bill.

After a preview of his new Emporio Armani Swiss Made Watches at the Tadao Ando-designed Armani Theatre in Milan earlier this month, the Italian designer officially announced the launch of his entire fine watches collection at Baselworld, the annual luxury watches and jewelry trade-show in Basel, Switzerland, on March 27th.

In Milan, the attending guests of the Emporio Armani Swiss Made Watches preview were able to get an insight of the traditional Swiss watchmaking process. “I was inspired by the shapes of the 1930s and 1940s that were given a contemporary look, developing a refined and timeless design, which I combined with Swiss technology and its unbeatable precision,’’ Armani explained in an official statement.

Mingling Armani’s signature style and Swiss savoir-faire, the line is manufactured under license by Fossil and will be priced between US $600 (AED/SAR 2,200) and US $1,500 (AED/SAR 5,500), and distributed in Emporio Armani flagships and sales points worldwide.
