It’s time to put pen to paper and pay further homage to the late Nelson Mandela. This might have been what Italian heritage brand Montegrappa (literally) thought when, together with the Mandela family, the luxury manufacturer decided to produce limited edition sets to honor the South African statesman.

After opening its first boutique in Saudi Arabia, at the Kingdom Center in Riyadh, Montegrappa made a tribute to the world-renowned South African anti-apartheid activist with a limited edition of 500 sets, including a customized pen (fountain, roller-ball, or ballpoint), watch, and cufflinks.
The Nelson Mandela Limited Edition collection features a South African inspired tribal pattern crafted from plated rose gold on the pen cap’s band, the cufflinks, and the watch’s case. Moreover, the top of the pen’s cap is engraved with a map of South Africa, while the side of the cap, the cufflinks, and the watch dial are engraved with Mandela’s signature. As a final, symbolic embellishment, the pen’s clip is encrusted with a diamond from South Africa.
