Kanye West x Adidas Shoe Collection Ready to Launch

When is Kanye West not in the news? Whether it’s for his music, his better half (you all know Kim K), his fashion ventures, or even for crashing someone else’s Grammy win, he’s never far from the spotlight.

Love him or hate him, one thing is undeniable; the man is a visionary who knows how to market himself well and cater to today’s social media-savvy consumers. Take his venture with Adidas, for example—not only did Mrs. West (who happens to have 26 million followers on Instagram) post a teaser picture of the boxes of the much-anticipated Yeezy 750 Boost shoes on her account, but the superstar himself debuted a pair from the new line during his performance at the 2015 Grammy Awards in front of 25 million pop culture-hungry spectators. Now that is how you reach your target audience.

The Adidas x Kanye West collaboration is set to release in less than 24 hours, but what is this mysterious online timer that surfaced days ago? It is a countdown to give away tickets to a live broadcast of the unveiling of West’s collection, titled “Yeezy 1.” Eager fans can access the Yeezy 1 event, taking place in New York online by heading over to www.tickets.yeezy.supply and purchasing tickets to attend the simulcast of the experience. During an interview with Ryan Seacrest earlier on Thursday, West revealed that the show will be repeated “10 times over the next two days.”

9,000 pairs of the Yeezy 750 Boost, each priced AED/SAR 1,285 (US $350), will go on sale this Saturday and can be reserved via the Adidas app.
