Lina Mustafa, founder and buyer of Abu Dhabi-based concept store, The Luxury Arcade, attended Men’s Paris Fashion Week to scope out new brands. Speaking with Style.com/Arabia, she explained that she always keeps her eyes on items that don’t come across as too seasonal, “Because we don’t get a proper winter here, I look for lighter fabrics but do like to include staple Fall pieces like a strong jacket or a great coat that make it a more cohesive buy. I do have my eyes on an olive green, silk STAMPD bomber jacket—slightly heavier—but a gorgeous piece.”

Soon into her numerous buying appointments, Mustafa noticed a color-trend emerge, “The palette was always neutral and muted; there were a lot of khakis and light browns.” The earth-toned hues were reflected in both shoes and clothes. Other trends included bomber jackets and “Corduroy is making a comeback,” Mustafa noted.

Reflecting on the evolution of men’s sneakers for Fall 2016, Mustafa noted that “Laces are being replaced with a slip-on neoprene fabric,” while it looks like one of the main events of women’s fashion from the Spring 2015 shows—fringe—has now made it to men’s shoes.
