Versace’s Big Brother

versace tieLately, Donatella Versace has shown a real penchant for artists reputed for their edginess. Case in point: Sri Lankan-singer, M.I.A, who designed the new capsule collection for Versus, or American rapper, Migos, whose infamous Versace song was used for the finale of the latest Spring 2014 womenswear show in Milan.

But when it comes to accessories, Donatella has put her trust in Los Angeles-based furniture and object designers, Nikolai and Simon Haas, for a new collaboration. After a previous leather and gold-studded furniture line for Versace Home, the duo created a capsule collection for men and women, which re-interprets the brand’s signature honeycomb pattern, along with Versace’s iconic golden Medusa heads.

“I am thrilled to be working with the Haas Brothers on this special curator project. I love how they take the codes of Versace and bring them somewhere new, pushing Versace forward into a whole other world,” stated Donatella.




versace tie clipThe new collaboration features a total of 16 accessories, comprising a golden iPhone 5 case (USD$250), a sport tie clip with a hexagonal Medusa adornment (USD$150), a laser-cut leather tie (USD$375), a honeycomb-embossed tie (USD$245), and a Medusa-stamped business card holder (USD$575), all available for retail on Versace’s online shop.
