When we first saw Elbio Bonsaglio, an Italian-Argentinean model who co-founded Letasca along with Edoardo Giaroli, we thought, “He’s a model, he’s a designer, and he’ll probably become quite successful if he continues working like this,” and after viewing the brand’s second collection at Pitti Uomo, we’re standing by our first impression. Based on the theme “Metropolis,” this collection is more mature and has more variety, featuring vests, coats, bomber jackets, and sweatshirts (as opposed to only jackets in the first collection). Last season’s plain colors and marble patterns have been replaced with large prints of different city landscapes and skylines at night.
The one thing that remains the same is the functionality of the collection—the clothes feature plenty of pockets to store your tools (almost like a wearable bag) without losing their structured shape or without making you look too bulky.
