When it comes to showstopping achievements, Hedi Slimane is at the top of his game. For his new (and last?) Fall 2016 Saint Laurent collection, the French designer presented exceptional outerwear pieces for him and for her: metallic bomber jackets, sequined blazers, and embroidered coats. All of course, were presented in a “Slimane silhouette”—the flawless embodiment of today’s rock ‘n roll boho.
The cherry on the cake? A black overcoat with a red lining, styled with a tuxedo jacket, slim jeans, and of course—the right amount of consummate L.A. attitude. About the coat: some would call it a cape, while some would call it a cloak. We call it “magician chic.” Wear at your own risk though.
