We recently caught up with renowned French children’s illustrator Philippe Dumas, who is also the grandson of Hermès Founder, Emile Dumas, and the designer of Hermès carrés, at the Saut Hermès in Paris . In this video, Dumas invites us to travel back through the rich history of Hermès’ horological craftsmanship—while the French Maison’s origins are steeped in equine roots, it has also produced watches for over a hundred years. Dumas’ characters playfully display the techniques that go into each timepiece. We are left dreaming of getting a hold of Dumas’ characters to craft us that beautiful Melik clip. Tick tock.
