Apple has always distinguished itself with beautiful design––Steve Jobs said his college calligraphy class was influential in creating the Macintosh––but 2014 marked the company’s first foray directly into the fashion world. Even though the device hasn’t been released, the Apple Watch was everywhere. The accessory was first unveiled at Colette in Paris and then it made its editorial debut on the cover of Vogue China, worn by Liu Wen. Style.com’s Tim Blanks, who traveled to Cupertino to check out the gadget, wrote this in his review: “With a full moon in the sky and one on your wrist, you are at one with the universe.” At one with the universe, at one with the fashion world––we’ve got high hopes for this thing. Yes, 2015’s best fashion and tech moment may just be when the Apple Watch finally hits stores.
