In 1965, renowned couturier Loris Azzaro launched his eponymous brand in Paris. The House (couture and fragrance) was a reflection of Azzaro’s image and lifestyle—both of which which conveyed sophisticated luxury. Now, the Parisian House has released a new men’s fragrance called Azzaro Wanted—a scent that revisits the brand’s elite ethos. Launched during the Cannes Film Festival 2016, the noteworthy addition to the label’s perfume line up was celebrated in style at an intimate gathering that commenced in Monaco (and later traveled to Cannes via helicopter). Guests, including Style.com/Arabia’s Managing Editor, Caterina Minthe, were immersed in a luxurious Mediterranean experience that paid homage to the House’s roots and its founder—a hedonistic, exuberant, and free-thinking figure who savored the pleasures of a jet-set life.

Following such iconic fragrances as Chrome and Pour Homme, Wanted is a woody blend mixed with fresh lemon, ginger, and cardamom. Formulated by perfumer Fabrice Pellegrin, the fragrance’s spicy eau de toilette makes it a coveted scent to gift the man in your life. Encased in a unique, chrome, six-shooter-inspired bottle, the intoxicating fragrance is almost quite literally a weapon of seduction.

The late Tunisian-born, Sicilian couturier, Azzaro, was renowned for his glamorous and feminine couture creations that celebrate the female form. The iconic fashion designer dressed celebrities and royals during the sixties and seventies, and spearheaded his brand to become an iconic perfume House with the launch of its first women’s fragrance Azzaro Couture in 1975. Recalling a conversation with Mr. Christian Courtins-Clarins (Azzaro belongs to Clarins Fragrances) aboard a yacht sailing the Mediterranean for the occasion of the launch, Style.com/Arabia’s Minthe said, “Mr. Courtins-Clarins reminisced about Mr. Azzaro’s jet-setting ethos with great nostalgia. Clearly men like him—and Mr. Courtins-Clarins for that matter, who traveled the world for the Clarins Group at the height of its international expansions—are one in a million. Today, women desire a man beholding such effortless joie de vivre. Looking to the future, the art of sophisticated seduction is one that the House of Azzaro pulls off with panache, and its something that we’re all ready (and wanting) to see more of.”
