Happy Birthday, Sean Connery! A Look Back at the Best-Dressed Spies in Film

Espionage is in the air. If that sounds like a strictly Cold War concept, look again at the zeitgeist of 2015: The Man From U.N.C.L.E., a hyper-stylish flick based on the sixties TV series of the same name, starring newly minted fashion favorite Alicia Vikander. Much has been written of Keri Russell’s various levels of frump in The Americans. Come November, the world will be treated to the 24th film in the James Bond franchise, Spectre, starring Prada girl Léa Seydoux alongside Daniel Craig.

But today, in honor of his 85th birthday, we’re raising a proverbial glass to Sean Connery, arguably the most singular tenor-setting 007 on celluloid, and revisiting twelve of the best-dressed spy flicks of all time—both Bond and beyond.
