The El Gouna Film Festival has seen many renowned stars from across the region come together to celebrate the best in Egyptian entertainment, and soon it will welcome pop stars Amr Diab and Tamer Hosny for two unmissable performances.

The annual event will see the extraordinary talents travel to the Red Sea resort town, for performances featuring the singers’ latest songs. The popstars will each be taking part in the private performances at the festival over the weekend; where Hosny will play on Thursday, October 29, and Diab will close the week as he headlines the official after-party on Saturday, October 31.

Hosny is expected to play material from his upcoming new album, Khaleek Folazy, which he is currently promoting. The 43-year-old singer recently gave fans a glimpse into his record with the release of the single Mabatalnash Ehsas (We Haven’t Stopped Feeling), on October 15. Known as the ‘King of the Stage’, the former Vogue Man Arabia cover star is famous for his charismatic stage presence and creativity and is sure to present what will be a captivating performance on Thursday.

For Diab, while the film festival is somewhat different from his usual venues, the pleasing surroundings seem to be the perfect setting for the singer to promote his new single El Gaw Gameel (The Weather is Beautiful). The acclaimed artist previewed his new single on YouTube, where the track is hinted to present a Mediterranean vibe involving flamenco guitars and delicate strings. Diab’s new single is the follow-up to the recently released  Ahe Ahe, on October 24, the stunning bilingual duet with Greek singer Eirini Papadopoulou.

This year’s El Gouna Film Festival has included a series of musical performances from some of Egypt’s best talents. Earlier in the week, singers, Moustafa Amar and Hisham Abbas came together for a joint performance at the end of Wednesday’s schedule.

The fourth edition of the festival is running from October 23 to Saturday, October 31.
