If you have ever found yourself at a loss for words when asked: “What kind of music do you like?” Bang & Olufsen has come to your rescue.
In its new campaign, See Yourself in Sound, music transcends audio and immerses you in a realm where sound becomes visual. This innovative campaign invites music lovers to embark on a captivating journey of self-expression and connection through interactive avatars.
At the heart of See Yourself in Sound lies a profound belief that music surpasses its auditory nature—it becomes a powerful expression of your individuality and a medium to forge meaningful connections with others.
The campaign goes beyond conventional music appreciation, it visualizes the unique musical worlds of each listener, by creating personalized avatars that reflect the nuances of mood, energy, and groove.
Participating in the See Yourself in Sound campaign is as simple as linking your Spotify account. This unlocks a world of hyper-personalization, where your individual listening history weaves the fabric of your avatar. Prevalent songs, albums, and playlists are ingeniously transformed into distinctive visual elements, resulting in an avatar that is as exceptional as your music taste.
For those without a Spotify account, a short questionnaire on the campaign’s website grants you the opportunity to create a bespoke avatar of your own.
Once your avatar is brought to life, it can be downloaded in motion, ready to be shared across various social media platforms.
Paul Collins, creative director of Bang & Olufsen, shares his inspiration behind the campaign: “Music isn’t something we just listen to, it’s something we feel. It expresses who we are and who we connect with. The feeling of listening to music that you truly love can transport you to another world, and we wanted to visualize that world with See Yourself in Sound.”
