The Dubai Comedy Festival is returning to the city this month for four laughter-filled days.

In a year that has given people many things to stress and worry about, the Dubai Comedy Festival will be welcomed back with open arms this October, between Wednesday 21 and Saturday 24.

Over the course of the four days, some of the biggest names in stand-up comedy will grace different stages across the city. With names such as Michelle Wolf, Mo Amer, Nemr Abou Nassar, and Vir Das showcasing at the event, the Dubai Comedy Festival is sure to provide some of the best laughs this year.

“We welcome everyone to celebrate the beauty of comedy and laugh together at this festival, providing even greater inspiration to the participating artists from the East and West, and a boost to all the local artists who are part of the UAE’s growing entertainment landscape,” says chief executive of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment, Ahmed Al Khaja.

Global and local stars will be performing across different venues in Dubai. Starting off the event is seasoned comedians Michelle Wolf and Mo Amer, who will perform at the Dubai Opera on Wednesday, October 21 in a night hosted by Dubai’s own stand-up, Ali Al Sayed. Palestinian-American Amer has appeared in Netflix’s original shows, such as the 2018 comedy special, The Vagabond, which was the first show of its kind by an Arab-American on the streaming platform.

Regional favorite Nemr Abou Nassar is also expected to make his debut at the Dubai Opera on October 22. The Lebanese comedian has been credited with pioneering the comedy scene throughout the region and has seen huge career achievements over the last few years, including multiple sell-out gigs across the UAE.
