Arab music sensations Hussain Al Jassmi and Tamer Hosny are set to headline the first evening of the Dubai Shopping Festival (DSF), as part of the extravagant two-day opening weekend celebrations.

Emirati singer Al Jassmi and Egyptian artist Hosny are two of the biggest names in the Arab music world and will be performing in Dubai on Thursday, December 17 in a must-see double bill of live music marking the return of the DSF.

“My beloved audience in Dubai and all emirates, waiting for you on December 17th for an exception ceremony for the opening of Dubai Shopping Festival,” Hosny wrote on Instagram. It is expected that the Egyptian singer will perform some of his most-loved songs at the concert, including his single Mabatalnash Ehsas (We Haven’t Stopped Feeling).

Similarly, fans can expect a performance of some of Al Jassmi‘s biggest hits, such as his popular single Boshreit Kheir meaning “people of well-being.”

The sold-out show will take place at Market Outside the Box (MOTB), located at Burj Park in Downtown Dubai. The show will be hosted by television presenter Lojain Omran and will feature a spectacular firework display as the Burj Khalifa lights up with special illuminations in celebration of the evening.

Fans who were unable to get their hands on tickets can watch the concert live on MBC 1 and Wanasah at 8.30pm GST.

The DSF is running from December 17 until January 30, where more than 3,500 retail outlets across the emirate will be offering discounts from 25% up to 75% off. The grand opening of the festival will see British music artists Anne-Marie and band Clean Bandit in a performance this Friday, December 18 at Burj Park, Downtown Dubai. The DSF will also welcome British comedian Jack Whitehall to Dubai as he performs his Stood Up comedy tour show at the Dubai World Trade Centre on Thursday, January 14.
