Iraqi singer and former Vogue Man Arabia cover star Kadim Al Sahir will kick off Expo 2020 Dubai’s Infinite Nights concert series featuring a lineup of incredible local and international artists. On October 15, the show will take place at the Al Wasl Plaza, the “beating heart of Expo 2020,” where it will also be livestreamed to a global audience, complete with innovative phygital experiences aided by advanced technology.
In celebration of the first world Expo in the Middle East, Al Sahir, who is known as the Caesar of Arabic song and Iraq’s ambassador to the world, will be flying the flag for the region as well. He will be performing under the Expo’s Opportunity subtheme, and pay homage to the vibrant and rich legacy of Arabic music. Every Infinite Nights performance will be based on a subtheme – Opportunity, Mobility, or Sustainability.
The event also marks Al Sahir’s return to live performances after a gap of two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic. “I am excited to be back in front of an audience after a two-year break, to open the Infinite Nights series from the heart of Expo 2020 Dubai,” he said in a statement. “This is a wonderful opportunity to unite the world through music and song and celebrate our accomplishments. I am honored to be part of this incredible global event that will bring the world together, and I promise you it will be a great night.”
