In celebration of the first world Expo in the Middle East, Al Sahir, who is known as the Caesar of Arabic song and Iraq’s ambassador to the world, will be flying the flag for the region as well. He will be performing under the Expo’s Opportunity subtheme, and pay homage to the vibrant and rich legacy of Arabic music. Every Infinite Nights performance will be based on a subtheme – Opportunity, Mobility, or Sustainability.

The event also marks Al Sahir’s return to live performances after a gap of two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic. “I am excited to be back in front of an audience after a two-year break, to open the Infinite Nights series from the heart of Expo 2020 Dubai,” he said in a statement. “This is a wonderful opportunity to unite the world through music and song and celebrate our accomplishments. I am honored to be part of this incredible global event that will bring the world together, and I promise you it will be a great night.”

Al Sahir is renowned for his work spanning a range of genres from Arabic classical music to pop and romantic ballads, among others. The singer has sold over 100 million albums and one of his shows holds the record for the highest number of attendees of all time at an Arabic concert.

Expo 2020 Dubai’s Infinite Nights series will run for the entirety of the event until March 2022. More information on upcoming performances and dates will be available on the Expo 2020 website. Global audiences will be able to view the performances on the Expo 2020 website and Expo TV YouTube channel.
