Will Smith has a new series and it takes off right here in Dubai. For the very first episode of his new show Will Smith’s Bucket List, the actor went skydiving and was joined by his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith to overcome her fear of heights. The first episode premiered on Facebook Watch on February 27 and is already a big hit with over 36 million views.
The episode opens with Smith wanting to celebrate his 50th birthday as he says, “My wife made the mistake of telling me she’d do whatever I wanted for my birthday, and then I told her what I wanted was for her to skydive with me”. The couple was spotted along with their sons, Trey and Jaden in Dubai back in October 2018, when the episode was being filmed. At the time, Smith took to Instagram to share a snap of him and Pinkett Smith from the desert with the caption, “Family time in Dubai. I can’t wait to show y’all what we’re shooting!”.
The actor also took time out of his schedule to visit the Burj Khalifa. Marveling at the world’s tallest building in an Instagram post he said, “A thousand years from now, humans are gonna look at the Burj Khalifa the same way we look at the Pyramids… like ‘How the h*** did they build that?’. But then they’ll just look it up on YouTube.”
The six-part series will show Smith going on more of such thrilling adventures with his family. For the finale, the show revisits UAE, but this time its the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, where Smith and his son Trey compete in a one-on-one F1 style race with the help of F1 champion Lewis Hamilton.
New episodes of Will Smith’s Bucket List will air on Facebook Watch every Wednesday at 9pm UAE time/ 8pm KSA time.
