Zayn Malik instilled excitement in fans earlier this week, as he teased the release of new music by posting a short video on Instagram Stories of him in the recording studio.
Although Malik has not yet released any details of any upcoming music, many of his fans have already expressed their excitement on Twitter.
Earlier this year, in October, the former One Direction star teased fans of his return to the studio as he posted a video on Instagram, of him singing a cover of the song Last Request, originally sung by Scottish singer Paolo Nutini. The video, which Malik captioned “cover sessions,” showed off his supreme vocal skills.

The 27-year-old released his last album, Icarus Falls in 2018, which was the musician’s second studio album. However, he has since promoted singles such as Better, released this year, and also collaborated with other artists, including US singer Zhavia Ward for A Whole New World, for the 2019 live-action adaptation of the Disney classic, Aladdin.
Malik’s return to the studio comes after the birth of his first child, with his partner, Palestinian-American model Gigi Hadid. The couple welcomed their daughter in September, both announcing their joyous arrival on social media. “Our baby girl is here, healthy and beautiful. To try to put into words how I am feeling right now would be an impossible task,” Malik wrote across his social media channels. “The love I feel for this tiny human is beyond my understanding. Grateful to know her, proud to call her mine, and thankful for the life we will have together.”
Earlier this week Hadid’s mother, Yolanda, posted a series of images that captured the moment that the expectant parents found out the gender of their baby girl. The first picture saw Malik and Hadid smiling whilst holding the cut cake with the pink sponge inside, and the second image saw the couple and Yolanda embracing upon finding out the exciting news.
