Alec Monopoly

German fashion designer Philipp Plein has collaborated with Los Angeles graffiti artist Alec Monopoly on a capsule collection for the resort 2018 season.

The pieces in the Alec x Plein collection include a T-shirt and sweatshirt featuring a stylized version of the artist (with his iconic bandana) surrounded by dollar signs, or scattering dollar bills, while emerging from a Warhol Soup Can.

Also included are low-top and high-top sneakers featuring dollar signs and graffiti splashes.

Monopoly’s artwork has been bought by celebrities including Snoop Dogg, Seth Rogen, and Adrien Brody. The artist is best known for his depiction of the tuxedoed and top-hatted graffiti character of Monopoly Man – called Rich Uncle Pennybags in the game.
