Rimowa has been making great-looking aluminum luggage since the 1930s, so it hardly needed to look to the fashion world to help it out. But this new limited-edition collaboration with Fendi is a fastastic upgrade on an already classic design.
Available as a cabin case, this limited-edition piece is made of aluminum and equipped with a multiwheel system – as you’d expect from Rimowa – but also features the double F logo with a brushed effect on the aluminum. There are black Cuoio Romano leather handles on the top and side, along with the web belt that runs across the case, carrying yellow and a touch of black with the FF logo.

Inside it has a modern, neoprene, black lining with a black-on-black embossed FF logo, and the flex-divider system is individually adjustable for added functionality. It also comes with stickers and a name tag in Cuoio Romano leather on the external belt to add your personal details, as is customary for Fendi bags.
Rimowa CEO Alexandre Arnault said: “A large part of our clients come from the fashion industry, therefore, we wanted to get closer to a fashion brand in order to mix our worlds perfectly. Fendi seemed like the perfect partner, given their DNA and appetence to make fun things. The case we have come up with is a true incarnation of what we do best, and what they do best.”
Rimowa is the first German label to be acquired by LVMH and one of the global leaders in the premium luggage segment.
Pietro Beccari President and CEO of Fendi added, “We are thrilled to be the first luxury house within the LVMH group to collaborate with Rimowa, leader in the luggage industry, combining Fendi’s savoir-faire and daring creativity with modern and high-tech Rimowa designs. This trolley is the expression of both brand’s DNA that come together for a uniquely contemporary yet highly crafted piece.”
The case will be available in selected Fendi and Rimowa boutiques and on fendi.com from the start of December.
