Everything to Know About Audemars Piguet’s Five New Royal Oak Timepieces

Audemars Piguet has unveiled new Royal Oak timepieces featuring eye-catching green dials. They include a 950 platinum Royal Oak “Jumbo” Extra-Thin, a limited-edition Royal Oak Selfwinding Chronograph, and lastly, three new Selfwinding Flying Tourbillon variants in pink gold or titanium. Here is everything you need to know about them.

1. Royal Oak ‘Jumbo’ Extra Thin

The 39mm ‘Jumbo’ is presented with a full 950 platinum case and bracelet while the smoky green dial is adorned with a sunburst pattern. The white gold applied hour-markers and Royal Oak hands are magnified with a luminescent coating, increasing visibility in dimmed lighting. At the heart of the watch is the self-winding Manufacture Calibre 2121 fitted with a 22-carat gold oscillating weight. This timepiece is exclusively reserved for AP Houses.

2. Royal Oak Self-Winding Chronograph 

Offered in a new colorway, pairing an 18-carat yellow gold case with green dial, this model is limited edition with only 125 pieces available. The dial is embellished with a Grande Tapisserie pattern complemented with three snailed counters. This model is supplied with two additional straps: green calfskin and green rubber.

3. Royal Oak Self-winding Flying Tourbillon: First reference

This model exemplifies the talents of Audemars Piguet’s craftspeople with three new variants. All three models are presented in a 41mm case and is endowed with a green Tapisserie dial enriched with a sunburst pattern. Alongside being equipped with the self-winding Manufacture Calibre 2950, the first reference comes with a 18-carat pink gold case with matching hour-makers and hands. Only 10 pieces of this model are made.

4.Royal Oak Self-winding Flying Tourbillon: Second and third references

The second model is limited to 50 pieces and is crafted in full titanium. Lastly, the third model which is limited to 15 pieces, combines a titanium case with 18-carat white gold bezel set with 32 baguette-cut emeralds. Each emerald is individually cut, faceted and placed by hand. Both titanium models incorporate white gold applied hour-makers and Royal Oak hands with luminescent coating, complemented with a titanium bracelet.
