Les Benjamins Looks to Skylines Past for Fall 2018

When it came to finding inspiration for its latest collection, Les Benjamins looked back through the archives – of history, that is. The Istanbul streetwear brand took style cues from historical architecture for its Fall 2018 collection, resulting in a line of edgy, urban separates infused with geometric designs and striking yet minimal silhouettes. The label, helmed by founder and creative director Bunyamin Aydin, paid homage to structures such as the Aztecs’ Mesoamerican pyramids in Mexico and Central America, and Egyptian pyramids in Giza and Khufu, for the collection, which is entitled Ancient Skyscraper. Captured in a new Fall 2018 campaign, the pieces blend a contemporary minimalism with majestic graphics. Details such as Lurex fabrications and reflective prints breathe a futuristic edge into the collection, effortlessly merging together the past and present.
