Creative director Kim Jones is taking the Dior Men fall 2022 collection to his home city of London today, making it the first time the fashion house has held a show outside of Paris—and in the UK—since 1947. On December 9, the collection will be unveiled at an in-person show at the Olympia London exhibition center, alongside some elements deeply personal to Jones.
The designer is lending rare books and manuscripts from his personal collection of 15 years to an exhibition included in the presentation, which will be exclusively available to attendees of the show. One of them is Jack Kerouac’s 1957 literary classic On the Road, particularly, its depiction of the Beat Generation writers, which has inspired the French maison’s soon-to-be-revealed collection.

“We are delighted to be presenting our Fall men’s collection abroad once again, and to be reconnecting with the ‘physical’ runway, an experience that is more important than ever,” stated Pietro Beccari, chairman and CEO of Christian Dior Couture. “We are proud and excited to be bringing this unique event to life in London, a particularly symbolic destination dear to Monsieur Dior and the House since 1947. London is of course also the city closest to Kim Jones’ heart, where he was born and where he lives, which inspires him with its inexhaustible creativity and which he loves deeply.”
