In a first for Dior, the fashion house has partnered with a sports club for a collaboration spanning two seasons. Kim Jones, artistic director of Dior Men will be designing the official wardrobe of the Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) football team which includes former Vogue Man Arabia cover star Neymar Jr.

The bespoke looks are divided into formal and casual outfits in black and navy blue colors. The casual ensemble features a Harrington jacket paired with a knitted sweater, a polo shirt, and trousers. The pieces are finished with an embroidered Paris Saint-Germain patch as well as the CD icon initials. For footwear, the players will be wearing the Dior Explorer Derbies in black leather with silver embossed insoles and marked with the players’ jersey numbers.

The formal look consists of a luxe cashmere coat, a jacket, a shirt, and pants adorned with details that reflect Dior’s savoir-faire. The outfit will be accessorized with a cashmere scarf, the Dior Saddle bag in black-grained calfskin, a jacquard tie with a Paris Saint-Germain logo as well as a reversible black and navy-blue belt.

Dior is not the only fashion house designing the wardrobes of football players this season. Loro Piana, the Italian luxury fabric and clothing company, known for its vicuña pieces will be dressing Juventus Football Club players in two custom looks.

The news of the two-year partnership follows PSG signing a two-year contract with Lionel Messi, who was previously a part of FC Barcelona.
