Few fashion collaborations go viral even before their launch, and Nike x Tiffany & Co. Air Force 1 1837 is one of them. The coming together of a sportswear and fine jewelry brand—both cult favorites—took the internet by storm this past month, and the world finally has official details to direct their excitement towards.
The brands confirmed rumors by revealing images of the coveted Nike x Tiffany & Co. AF1 1837 sneakers, which come in black suede. The signature Nike swoosh is rendered in the unmistakable Tiffany Blue, while a sterling silver plate is detailed on each heel, and the tongue reads Tiffany in the brand’s own font. The sneakers have been dubbed a ‘legendary pair” as they mark the Air Force 1’s 40th anniversary and the first collaboration of the brands with each other. While Nike has previously partnered with Dior on limited-edition sneakers, this is Tiffany & Co.’s first time working with a footwear brand.
The shoes will hit physical and online stores on March 7 and are priced at US $400 for sizes US 3.5M-18M. They will only be available at two Tiffany & Co. New York City locations: The Tiffany Flagship Next Door and Tiffany & Co. SoHo and globally via Nike’s SNKRS app, and select Nike partner retail stores in North America.
The sneakers themselves will be sold in a red-lined Tiffany Blue box, with a care kit of limited-edition sterling silver products. Also available on Tiffany.com in the US, and ranging from $250 to $475, the co-branded designs include a sterling silver whistle, shoe horn, shoe brush, and lace ornament also known as a dubrae for the Nike x Tiffany & Co. Air Force 1 1837 laces.
