Physical shows are gradually making a comeback, and it seems like every Maison is trying to attract the public with a host of stars.
Fashion designer Raf Simons captured everyone’s attention when star Kyle MacLachlan kicked off his show wearing a long navy jute coat over a blue suit made of patent leather, complete with matching gloves and comfortable classic shoes. Thinking the collection was inspired by the sixties and seventies, the audience was pleasantly surprised when a host of young stars walked the runway wearing modern looks dedicated to the new generation with an elegant and luxurious twist from the classics of the sixties’ generation.
Simons enlisted MacLachlan, as well as a host of young stars, such as Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Asa Butterfield, Damson Idris, Jaden Michael, Louis Partridge, Ashton Sanders, Italian actor Filippo Scotti and tennis player Tom Mercier for the showcase. Once again, he surprised watchers when Jeff Goldblum closed the show walking confidently on the catwalk with his sharp look, modeling a long black coat adorned with black feathers on the sleeves and at the hem.
Bringing together modern and elegant designs, the show presented long coats inspired by the sixties and seventies, perhaps the most striking of which were the long leather coats with large shoulders in black, red, and navy with yellow fur.
As for accessories, oversized leather bags in Prada’s classic luxurious designs, free from disturbing details, to suit men’s winter looks were a highlight. The same idea of colorful coats was adopted when choosing the colors of the bag, as we saw hues suitable for coats displayed on the runway.
