After all, if you’re going to embrace life at its fullest, it’s best to do so in shoes that are comfortable and stylish. As part of the Get Ready storyline, six Arab artists celebrate creativity, inclusion, and unity with the Mx sneakers.

Self-taught surrealist Saudi artist Faisal Abdulaziz AlKheriji draws his inspiration from art masters such as Pablo Picasso, as well as his natural environment. While his work has been showcased in galleries in London, Boston, and Jeddah, he plans to expand his art to reach a wider audience, and to share his culture’s rich heritage.

If she’s not lost in a medical book, student Ghaida Al Ghanim will most likely be in an art museum. The Saudi painter takes her main inspiration from the eye and the Hamsa – both important symbols in Ancient Egypt.

Fatimah Al Nemer

Award-winning Saudi artist and jewelry designer Fatimah Al Nemer’s artwork is a blend between reality and fantasy. Following her first gallery show, Eternal Love, in Jordan in 2009, she has gone on to win several awards, including first prize at the Saudi contemporary art gallery in 2010.

Dubai-based artist Fatima Albudoor combines text, photography, and drawing to produce art that has a personal touch. In some of her pieces, she uses lines from her own journals. She takes her inspiration from music, books, and family life. She’s a member of Tashkeel Studio and Gallery and a fellow at the Salama bint Hamdan Al Nahyan Foundation.

Dina Saadi

Born in Russia, raised in Syria, and living in Dubai, Dina Saadi’s artwork and murals are as vibrant as her well-travelled life. Drawing her inspiration from the beauty of nature and the rich cultures she’s experienced, her mission in life is simple: use the street as a canvas and add colors to lives in the process.

Ramy Elzaghawy

Dubai-born and raised, Ramy Elzaghawy knew he wanted to be an artist after watching Tom and Jerry cartoons as a kid. Starting with 2D animations and color, his work gradually evolved from comic drawings to realistic art. Now he is renowned for his impressive murals.
