Personalization has become a huge part of modern style and Berluti has been offering custom tattooing for over a decade now.
Like its patinas, Berluti tattoos have become a key element in the brand’s approach. Following years of research, in 2003 Olga Berluti developed a technique for tattooing leather as tattoos are created with a needle and pigments, point by point, by a specialized tattoo artist, inked directly on Berluti’s Venezia leather.
Berluti also called upon Scott Campbell, the Brooklyn-based tattoo artist, whose creations are considered works of art, to help create some designs. Considered one of the top tattoo artists his work has appeared on the bodies of Marc Jacobs, Josh Hartnett, Orlando Bloom, Helena Christensen and many others.
The house now offers its unique tattooing techniques on all Venezia leather products – shoes, bags, belts and small leather goods. And Berluti has a selection of tattoo designs based on four key themes: a classic bestiary of insects and animals, signs of the zodiac and Chinese horoscope, vintage patterns and the subtle art of calligraphy – or you can just create your own design.

Staying true to the house’s philosophy of personalization, clients also get to choose the placement of the artwork and the patina over it – a lighter one to bring out the design and a darker one for greater discretion.
