Adidas and David Beckham have released a capsule collection, with Beckham having played a central role in the design, following concept meetings in London and follow-up design trips to Adidas HQ in Germany.
The collection marks the two-decade partnership between Beckham and Adidas, and includes a remastered version of the Predator Accelerator – the boot that Beckham wore for most of his career.
The design is a mix of the all-leather Adidas Predator Accelerator (from 1998) with the softness of the more modern Primeknit material. It comes in three different colorways and designs that Adidas say was inspired by various parts of Beckham’s playing career.
The collection comprises a triple-white “Stadium” boot, a triple-red “Cage” shoe and a triple-black “Street” shoe. The three shirt numbers synonymous with Beckham’s career are marked on the heel of each shoe – 23 on the triple-white, 32 on the triple-black and number 7 on the triple-red shoe.
David Beckham said: “When I look back on the best moments of my career, the one defining theme of them all is the Adidas Predator. It has always been there, helping me play my best when it mattered most. That’s why when Adidas offered me the chance to design an updated version of the boot for on-pitch, in the cage and on the street, I absolutely jumped at the chance.”
The collection will be available in this region exclusively at Level Shoes, The Dubai Mall and online at www.levelshoes.com from November 10.
