La Petite Maison (LPM), the much-loved French restaurant, has opened its doors at The Galleria on Al Maryah Island in Abu Dhabi. Already a big hit with diners in Dubai, the new 8,000 square foot restaurant seats 80 guests indoors and a further 60 on the outdoor terrace, with views of the capital’s skyline.
Our pick of the mains includes the grilled lamb cutlets with smoked aubergine; squab pigeon cooked in hay, honey, and mustard; and slow-cooked duck legs with an orange glaze, while the vanilla crème brûlée is the perfect, sweet end to a meal.
LPM is in good company on Al Maryah Island. The venue is already home to Zuma, Bentley Kitchen, Nolu’s, Almaz By Momo, COYA, Roberto’s, Eat Greek, Loca, Nusr-Et, and Emporio Armani Caffe as well as signature restaurants in the Rosewood Abu Dhabi, Sambusek and Dai Pai Dong, and the Four Seasons Hotel with Butcher and Still and Cafe Milano.
La Petite Maison’s Dubai branch, known for its consistent service and buzzy atmosphere, has established itself as one of the outstanding restaurants in the city. Expect the same in Abu Dhabi.
