From the 1976 hand-built Apple 1 to the 2019 triple-camera iPhone 11 Pro, this tech giant has come a long way. On Tuesday, Apple announced a slate of new gadgets that will soon transform your tech-controlled lives. For the first time, the multinational technology company simultaneously streamed the annual event on Youtube as well as the official website. But if you missed CEO Tim Cook’s keynote, here’s everything you need to know about the company’s – much-awaited – new products.

The new iPhone 11 will be offered in six new colors, including green and purple. The product will feature a 6.1 screen liquid retina display, built-in Dolby Atmos, and a new ultra-wide lens camera lens for beautiful panoramic shots. Additionally, photograph-lovers are in for a treat with Apple’s new effects, Slofies (slow motion selfies) and high-key mono, that will guarantee trendy images for the gram. That’s not all. Apple promises that its new A13 Bionic chip is both the fastest CPU and GPU in a smartphone. The iPhone 11 prices will start from AED 2,949, and will be available for pre-order beginning 13 September while store sales will begin on 20 September.

The most talked-about product from the event is the revamped iPhone 11 Pro. This is the first time where Apple has incorporated the ‘pro’ tag for an iPhone, which means it’s going to be something special. The keynote introduced an all-new triple-camera system – with a zoom, wide-angle, and improved camera lens – as well as five extra hours of battery life and a stronger exterior. The phone will come in 64GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage options, and will be priced at AED 4,219, AED 4,849 and AED 5,699, while the iPhone 11 Pro Max will be at AED 4,639, AED 5,269 and AED 6,119.

Now including an always-on display, the new generation of Apple Watch guarantees an 18-hour battery life. Furthermore, the built-in compass, international emergency calling, and additional health and fitness features – Cycle Tracking, the Noise App, and Activity Trends – has completely ramped up the digital timepiece. The Apple Watch Series 5 starts from AED 1,599.
Apple Arcade
Gear up because a new gaming center is in town. Offering more than 100 new and exclusive games, Apple Arcade will be available online and offline on mobile, desktop, and TV. Here are some of the games debuting on the new virtual arcade:
1) Ballistic Baseball – A head-to-head multiplayer baseball game that ignites an intense competition between the pitcher and batter.
2) PAC-MAN PARTY ROYALE– A throwback to one of the most iconic games from Bandai Namco. The reinvented four-player match will be a battle to be the last PAC-MAN standing.
The service will launch in 150 countries starting 19 September and will cost AED 19.99 per month.
iPad Seventh Generation
The new 10.2-inch iPad will have improved brightness, a more efficient viewing angle, an A10 Fusion chip, an Apple Pencil, a Smart Keyboard Support, and an all-day battery life. The new iPad will launch at the end of the month and will be available at a much lower price AED 1,349.
Apple TV
Last but not least, Apple will also be entering the streaming industry – along with Netflix and HBO. Apple TV+ is going to be the first all-original video subscription service, including Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston‘s The Morning Show as well as Jason Momoa‘s See. The service, like other platforms, will be available on the iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, iPod touch, Mac, and on tv.apple.com. Customers who purchase Apple products will enjoy one year of the new streaming service for free; afterward, it will be AED 19.99 per month.
