Lionel Messi Is Saudi Arabia’s New Tourism Ambassador—Here’s How He’s Spending Time in the Kingdom

Looks like Argentinian footballer Lionel Messi has a special connection with Saudi Arabia.

Earlier this week, the Paris Saint-Germain footballer landed in Jeddah, just in time for Jeddah Season, to explore the Kingdom after being announced as its latest tourism ambassador. According to reports, Messi will be spending his time in KSA checking out some of its most exciting spots with the help of the Saudi Tourism Authority.

Already, Messi has started posting snippets from his Saudi Arabia trip on his official Instagram account. The first sneak peek showed the sportsman enjoying a picture-perfect sunset with friends on a yacht in the Red Sea.

Lionel Messi’s arrival in Saudi Arabia naturally caught the eye of all his die-hard fans in the kingdom, and was also celebrated by Saudi Tourism Minister Ahmed Al Khateeb, who said, “I am pleased to welcome Lionel Messi to Saudi Arabia. We are excited for you to explore the treasure of the Red Sea, the Jeddah Season and our ancient history. This is not his first visit to the Kingdom and it will not be the last.”
