On Saturday, March 25, Meydan Racecourse will host one of the most highly anticipated events of the global horse racing calendar, the Dubai World Cup 2023. Rest assured that competition-winning horses, professional jockeys, and sartorial galore will come together for an unforgettable day as the venue is expected to be fully packed.

The 27th edition of the Dubai World Cup may feature a number of races but all eyes will be awaiting the main 2000m race featuring some of the biggest names in horse racing and a 12 million dollar prize. A favorite for the race is the defending champion, Country Grammer who will be carrying four-time Dubai World Cup winner Frankie Dettori. Hopes for a second win by Country Grammer are seriously challenged by Panthalassa who recently galloped to victory at the 2023 Saudi Cup.

As the first edition of the event during the holy month of Ramadan, the races on Saturday are certainly unique but its status as one of the leading fashion events of the year remains unchanged. Much like in previous years, we can expect to see statement looks and impeccable styling that will be discussed for days after the event. Of course, the highlight as always will be the abundance of sharp tailoring and hats, which are a mainstay for the event every year. There is no doubt that this Saturday will be a  fashion extravaganza to remember – that is the least you can expect from the world’s most affluent race.
