At.mosphere, Burj Khalifa, will be hosting Chef Sergio Herman as a guest chef for two nights on November 22 and 23. It’s a rare chance to have a meal cooked by one of the best chefs on the planet.

The Dutch chef is best known for his former restaurant Oud Sluis, where he cooked for 25 years. The restaurant in Sluis, Netherlands, attained its third Michelin star in 2006 and held onto it until December 2013 when Herman decided he wanted to do other things and closed the restaurants down.

It was also a regular on the World’s 50 Best Restaurants lists, peaking at 17th place in 2011.

In 2014, he collaborated with Chef Nick Bril to open The Jane in Antwerp, Belgium, housed in a converted 19th century military hospital chapel and it was voted the most beautiful restaurant in the world.

It’s the type of place where guests can only make a reservation three months in advance by booking online and all the waiters are dressed in clothes from Dutch fashion brand G-Star.

His food is certainly noteworthy and in the past, he has cooked dishes that look like this:

It’s  unlikely that he’ll be creating anything that looks like that while in Dubai, however, as it’s such a short stay, but At.mosphere has said of the forthcoming evening: “Sergio’s refreshing accents and delicate sours will be on offer in an eight-course dinner menu, with guest experience complemented by breath-taking views of the Dubai skyline.

“Guests can indulge in extraordinary flavor and seafood selections from the chefs’ upcoming line-up, including Zeeland oysters, creamy North Sea crab, scallops with yuzu, New Zealand mussels prepared with aged cheese, langoustine caviar and lobster fregola with truffle.”

A place costs AED1,550 per person for eight-course menu and AED2,500 per person for luxury wine pairing menu.
