Zayn Malik has opened up about how he has been balancing his career and fatherhood. The British-Pakistani singer who welcomed his first daughter Khai with Gigi Hadid last September recently sat down for an interview with Zach Sang for his Just The Interviews Podcast, where he gave listeners an insight into his life as a father.
“I’ve spent a lot of time with my little girl and my missus,” shared the 28-year-old. “When I can get the evening to myself, I do a bit of writing and Gigi is really cool about it. I just love hanging out with Khai, it’s a really different pace of life, but it’s really been easy to adjust and that’s the most surprising.”

He added, “The fact that she has been so easy to kind of just adjust to, its been surprising to me because I just love spending my days with her, hanging out with her, and just doing really relaxing and chill stuff with her.” Malik also revealed that he is dedicating his third studio album titled Nobody is Listening to his daughter. “I related my album to my baby- its part of you and you want to share it with your world,” he said.
Previously, the singer has also shared how much he and Hadid have been enjoying their time as new parents. “Honestly, it’s amazing,” he had said in an interview with iHeartRadio. “A lot of people that I was speaking to obviously before she was born and stuff were like you know it’s a big adjustment and it’s going to be a massive change and stuff, but honestly she’s an amazing baby.
He added, “It’s been really easy for me and Gigi to kind of just ease into it. She’s made it really easy for us, she sleeps really well and she loves her milk. It’s just feeding and changing diapers at the moment. It’s wicked, I’m enjoying it for sure.”
The couple announced the birth of their first child in September following a 14-hour natural water brith at Bucks County farmhouse Malik purchased.
