Thirty-three-year-old Rafael Nadal’s winning streak isn’t ending anytime soon. On Sunday, Nadal played his five-setter match against Daniil Medvedev and claimed the championship while proving that he is the king of clay, once again.
Although the Spanish tennis player doesn’t take any of his wins for granted, this one was extra special. The victory was Nadal’s fifth major since turning thirty, surpassing Federer, Novak Djokovic, Rod Laver, and Ken Rosewall, who have all won four. However, overall the tennis master has had 19 Grand Slam championship wins to his name – one less from record-holder Roger Federer. Adding to his list of achievements, Nadal has won 84 Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) singles titles, including the 19 Grand Slam trophies and a record of 35 ATP Masters 1000 titles.
In celebration of this iconic moment, Vogue Man has put together a list of some of the reigning champion’s best sporting moments.
